My 2nd race weekend was a double header at this south-west
circuit. I arrived for afternoon testing on Friday in heavy rain. I only attempted to
learn the circuit and the car, not to set any laptimes.

Qualifying
1
The
session was fairly dry, and I was pleased not to be last (18th from 21 cars), with a
time of 1:06.9, some 8.8 secs off pole.

Race 1
I
held my position for several laps, then passed Philip Carter in the other Formula
Renault. I finished in 15th place.

Qualifying 2
I managed to go 3 seconds a lap quicker, meaning I was only 6.7 secs off pole,
and 2 places higher on the grid.

Race 2
I didn't
manage to pass anyone, but finished in 11th place from 17 due to the number of
incidents and people spinning and re-joining. |
