Cadwell Park
June 8th / 9th 2002

In
June 2002 I started racing in the British Monoposto
Championship in a 1995 Swift SC95R
Formula Renault.

Qualifying
My
first race in the wet at Cadwell Park was a bit of a disaster, with
a minor accident after 2 laps (damage to nose cone and wings).
Despite not officially qualifying, the Clerk of the Course permitted
me to start the race from the back of the grid

Race
I
spent most of the race behind Neil Harrison, then later on trying to
avoid people lapping me. I also got beached on an embankment for
several laps during the race. I did however score a finish and
get my first license signature.

The second race of the double header was cancelled as the
weather was now so bad that cars were aquaplaning on the start-finish straight. |
