at Spa-Francorchamps until battery failed on last lap whilst leading by over 40 seconds.

Championship.

Auto historic race across France. Out-qualified Sir Stirling Moss in

Andy Dickens is an English
race driver who emigrated to Australia in 2005, followed by Singapore in 2010 and USA in 2013. He works as an IT
Consultant for one of the major consulting companies. Since 2001,
Andy has raced a variety of open-wheeled cars in Europe and Australia, including
Formula Renault, Formula 3, Formula Vauxhall Lotus and Formula
Vauxhall Junior.
Andy has also competed in modern rallies in an ex-Francois Delacour
Group A Ford Cosworth 4x4 and several historic rallies in a Lotus
Europa JPS Special. Andy holds an FIA International C race licence
and has raced at most of the British circuits including Silverstone,
Brands Hatch and Donington Park and many European tracks including
Spa-Francorchamps, Le Mans (Bugatti), Dijon and Ledenon. Andy's best
result to date was at Lydden Race Circuit near London in a TOM's
Formula 3 car, where he recorded a double pole position, 2 race
wins, 2 fastest laps and lap record on his first visit to the track.
In his last full season he was 7th from 42 entrants in the British
Monoposto Championship despite suffering many teething problems with
a new race car.
For the 2006 season, Andy made his race debut both in Australia and
in Touring Cars for Mumbo Racing in their Ford Mondeo Super Tourer.
In July he raced for Nemesis Motorsport (UK) in a Van Diemen
'Formula Ireland' open-wheeler at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium).
In 2009 Andy also raced a Formula 3 car in for Team Robertson in Formula Tasman. |
