This was an ex- DC Cook car, first run in the
1995 British Formula Renault Championship by Paul Cook. It was an steel
space-framed car, with fibre-glass bodywork designed by a French RenaultSport
engineer for Swift.
Several of its sister cars made their way to Canada. Its large sidepods were not
aerodynamically efficient.

This was my first race car and it proved to
be an extremely reliable if underpowered car. It (In the whole season, there was only 1 mechanical glitch when a bolt fell out of the
gear linkage at Rockingham. I did managed to wrap it around a tyre wall in the
wet at Brands Hatch, causing a £4000, 2 month re-build project.

The car was subsequently sold to Trevor
Stacey for hill-climbing, then sold back to Dermot Healy in 2006. It was
exported to Austria in May 2006. |
